2Cor:6:2: (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)

WITNESS IV

When I was growing up my parents sent us to church. At the age of twelve. I thought I had given my heart to Jesus but as time went on I went the way of the world. I married, had a son, divorced and remarried. God blessed me with a wonderful husband in 1969 and we moved to Kansas where we were given 5 more beautiful children. We moved often and I always knew that someone was watching over us.
On one of our moves from Texas to Vale, Oregon I prayed "Lord, if this is the place you want us to be, let someone open the door and tell us welcome home." Well, we went to a campground and as soon as we pulled in, an old gentleman opened the door and said "Come on out, you're home." That to me was the first sign. Then I prayed, "Lord if this is where we are really, really supposed to be, help us get a home and all that we need." Within two days He did just that!. The very next Sunday we took our kids to church for the first time. Again I believed that Jesus was the ruler of my life. And again I went the way of the world. But Jesus was always there watching over me.
We moved home to Kentucky and started going to my brother's church. God made me, through my brother's preaching, really take a good look at my salvation. I was doing all I thought I was supposed to for the Lord but I did not know in my knower where I would go if Jesus came. But I figured that it was just the devil giving me a hard time.
As I read my bible the verses in
Mt:7:23: And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. , kept haunting me. Finally, I had to know in my knower that I was His. On December 6, 1990, I went on my knees at a very small church and begged for Him to enter my life. Now I know in my knower, that I am His. There is peace in my heart and life that no one can understand. I praise Jesus for being with me during all the things in my life. Without Him I can do and am nothing! Linda McMahan

Isa:1:18: Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

Mt:28:20: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

WITNESS V

When I was 12 yrs. old I was convicted that I was a sinner. I asked forgiveness for my sins. I asked Jesus Christ to come into and guide my life. I have come to realize that Jesus will be faithful to what he promises whether I am faithful to mine or not.
It was also at age 14 that I fell madly in love with the girl who was to become my wife. Then came Dec. 7, 1941 and war in Europe and The Pacific. I enrolled in the draft service and waited to be called. In 1942 my mother passed away of complications from liver cancer. She was 36 years old. I answered Uncle Sam's call in March 1943 and went to serve in the infantry.
We were given furlough in July 1943 and on the 22 of July 1943 the girl I fell in love with and I married at Seven Hills Baptist Church, and have been for 60 Yrs.
Our home was blessed with a Son, Charles Phillip on May 16, I945 & a daughter Marilyn Sue on Dec. 11, 1948. Our Son was active in several Baptist churches in the area as Minister of Music and Youth Leader until a tragic auto accident killed him instantly in Sept. 1990. He was married to Peggy Carol Clark and they gave us three grandsons and our oldest grandson gave us a great grandson. Our daughter Marilyn is married to Tony Davis and is living in Nashville, TN.
The first 64 years of my Christian Life was served in the Seven Hills Baptist Church where I served as Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, Trustee, Moderator, & Training Union Director. Our family has been blessed because of even our feeble efforts for His Glory. Our God is a Great and Merciful God! It is our lot to tell the World about it.
In Dec. 2000 I was diagnosed with Bladder Cancer. Surgery was done at Vanderbilt Hospital and I was told I was free of cancer two years after the surgery. This surgery was done in Feb. 2001 and from that date until present time I have had eight surgeries, two of them of a serious nature. I am recovering at this writing and can testify to the fact that God watches over His own.
I owe a debt of thanks to my Wife who stayed with me constantly, my Christian Family who prayed, the Doctors and the Nurses; but the greatest debt I owe is to my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ who gave himself on the Cross of Calvary as punishment for my sins. Thank you all for what you have done!
In Nov. 2001 we moved our membership from Seven Hills Baptist Church to the Riverside Baptist Church. It is here that I will continue to serve as Sunday School Teacher, if it meets with His will.

Jn:1:12: But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
